Challenging but completely rewarding
Not the easiest trek for those new to hiking at Batanes, but the guide offered steady encouragement throughout. The sense of shared accomplishment in the group at the summit was genuinely uplifting. Bring proper footwear and extra water. Worth it completely.
The views reward every step
The hike in Batanes was challenging but our guide set a perfectly manageable pace with frequent water breaks and photo stops. When we reached the summit and the landscape spread out below us, every aching muscle was instantly forgotten. Absolutely majestic.
Stunning — pack for cold nights
Days at Batanes are pleasantly cool but nights can get genuinely cold. We weren't fully prepared but extra blankets were available. Just pack a warm layer at minimum! The destination itself is absolutely stunning — no complaints about that.
Perfect escape from city life
Exactly what we needed — a complete digital detox at Batanes. Pine forests, rolling hills, morning fog drifting across the mountains. It felt like entering another world entirely. The itinerary gave space to actually breathe and take it all in properly.
