Beyond the usual tourist spots
What I loved most about Basilan was that our guide took us to spots most visitors miss — a community-run street food market, a rooftop with the best city view, a local coffee shop with incredible stories. Authentic travel at its best.
Night tour was a highlight
The evening section of the Basilan tour was particularly impressive. Seeing the city lit up at night, with the old churches dramatically illuminated and the food markets in full swing, added a completely different dimension to the experience. Highly recommend the full-day version for this reason.
Intramuros is a must-see
The walled city in Basilan is absolutely fascinating. Walking through centuries of colonial history while our guide brought the stories to life was exceptional. The calesa ride through the old streets was a fun touch. This place has so much more depth than most visitors realize.
Excellent city introduction
Perfect way to understand Basilan in a short time. Our guide took us through historical areas, local markets, and hidden gems I would never have found on my own. The contrast between ancient structures and ultra-modern developments is striking. Great commentary throughout.
