Travel to the island aboard a traditional faluwa, a larger version of the Ivatan boat, and cross the strong Pacific Ocean currents on a vessel without outriggers. Explore charming traditional villages where Ivatan houses are built with stone walls and topped with cogon roofs. Walk along Morong Beach and pass by the famous Nakabuang Arch, also known as Mahayaw Arch, one of Batanes’ most iconic landmarks. You can also visit the Sabtang Weavers Association and try on traditional Ivatan headgear with the help of the locals.

Day-by-day itinerary

Depart from Basco Port at 5:30 AM and arrive at Valanga Port in Itbayat at 8:00 AM. After registration at the Municipality of Itbayat, begin the tour with visits to Tachimus Port and Aruis Tree, followed by Torongan Cliff, rolling hills, the Stone Boat, Shape Burial, and historical marker. After lunch, continue to Itbayat Airport and Kavaywan Lake, then explore Mauyen Cliff and port, Secret Arch, Chinapoliran Port, and Mount Karoboboan. End the day with sunset viewing at Paganaman Port before dinner.
