Awe-inspiring at every turn
Every bend in the road around Dumaguete revealed another stunning panorama. Our driver-guide was knowledgeable about local history and folklore, keeping the mood light and engaging throughout. We learned so much beyond what any guidebook would tell you.
Spiritual and humbling
Standing in front of the ancient rice terraces at Dumaguete maintained for thousands of years was genuinely moving. These are living cultural monuments and watching farmers tend them the same way their ancestors did was a privilege. Our guide explained the history with clear passion.
Perfect escape from city life
Exactly what we needed — a complete digital detox at Dumaguete. Pine forests, rolling hills, morning fog drifting across the mountains. It felt like entering another world entirely. The itinerary gave space to actually breathe and take it all in properly.
The views reward every step
The hike in Dumaguete was challenging but our guide set a perfectly manageable pace with frequent water breaks and photo stops. When we reached the summit and the landscape spread out below us, every aching muscle was instantly forgotten. Absolutely majestic.
Cool air, warm hospitality
Coming from Metro Manila, the highland air at Dumaguete was such a welcome change. Locals are incredibly warm and welcoming. We visited during strawberry season and got to pick straight from the farms. Every meal was fresh and delicious. An underrated destination.
