Coral gardens in pristine condition

The coral gardens at Maldives are some of the healthiest I've seen anywhere in Southeast Asia. The local conservation efforts are clearly paying off. Our dive guide was incredibly knowledgeable and pointed out species we would never have spotted on our own. A genuine hidden gem for divers.

Philippines diving: completely underrated

First time diving in the Philippines at Maldives after years in Thailand and Bali. Completely blown away. The diversity of life is incredible and pricing is very competitive compared to other top dive destinations globally. Already have my next trip booked.

The macro life is incredible

Spent most of our dives at Maldives hunting macro subjects and the diversity was astounding — nudibranchs of every color, ghost pipefish, decorator crabs, and a frogfish that our guide found perfectly camouflaged against a sponge. Serious photographers will love this place.

Coming back every year

Maldives has become my annual dive destination. The dive shop is well-run, equipment is modern and well-maintained, and the sites never get old. Different seasons bring different marine encounters — this visit coincided with manta ray season which was simply spectacular.

Great, though rough seas one day

Three of four dive days at Maldives were perfect. One day had choppier conditions and we had to skip the outer reef, but the dive master found an excellent alternative in a sheltered bay. Flexible and professional — exactly how you want your dive team to respond.

Perfect for underwater photography

Brought my camera housing to Maldives and the conditions were perfect — calm seas, crystal visibility, and abundant marine life at every depth. The dive master was patient when I stopped to photograph macro subjects. Got some of my best shots ever at these sites.
