Zipline, caving, trekking, a river connection — Batanes delivered so much adventure in a short time. Guides were safety-conscious throughout but also genuinely fun. The underground cave exploration with headlamps was particularly exhilarating.

Spiritual and humbling

Standing in front of the ancient rice terraces at Batanes maintained for thousands of years was genuinely moving. These are living cultural monuments and watching farmers tend them the same way their ancestors did was a privilege. Our guide explained the history with clear passion.
